The Playing XI, Match Preview and Pitch Report are ready for the 7th match of IPL 2022!
The Lucknow Super Giants and Chennai Super Kings will clash in the seventh game of the Indian Premier League at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.
Goenka Group, who also owned the Rising Pune Super Giants in 2016 and 2017, used that experience well to assemble a very good squad, signing the likes of KL Rahul, Marcus Stoinis and Ravi Bishnoi. They specifically targeted multi-faceted players, acquiring Krunal Pandya, Deepak Hooda and Jason Holder.
Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings have once again opted for loyalty, bringing back Ambati Rayudu, DJ Bravo and Robin Uthappa after retaining Dhoni, Jadeja, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Moeen Ali.
LSG vs CSK Probable XI
Chennai Super Kings Probable XI: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Devon Conway, Moeen Ali, Ambati Rayudu, MS Dhoni (C/WK), Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, Chris Jordan, KM Asif/Tushar Deshpande, Adam Milne, Prashant Solanki, Maheesh Theekshana.
Lucknow Super Giants Probable XI: Quinton de Kock (wk), KL Rahul (C), Manish Pandey, Marcus Stoinis, Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya, Jason Holder, Krishnappa Gowtham, Avesh Khan, Mark Wood, Ravi Bhishnoi
Lucknow will hope that Avesh Khan and Mark Wood will set the speed guns on fire against Chennai’s opening pair of Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad to get them early in the innings. Chennai’s middle-order looks a bit undercooked with Dhoni, Rayudu and Shivam Dube lacking decent match practice in the lead up to the tournament.
Deepak Chahar won’t be available until mid-April, which comes as a huge blow to Chennai Super Kings’ plans. It will be interesting to see how Adam Milne fills the void left by the departure of Josh Hazlewood, especially in the powerplay.
The form of Krunal Pandya and Manish Pandey will be a concern for Lucknow going into the tournament, while Marcus Stoinis also had an indifferent season in the Big Bash, scoring 369 runs and picking up just 2 wickets in 14 games.
Chennai also has a decision to make of who to play instead of Deepak Chahar, with KM Asif, Tushar Deshpande, Prashanth Solanki all in the mix.

Teams: Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) vs Chennai Super Kings
Date/Day: Thursday/31st March 2022

LSG vs CSK Pitch Report
The teams will be heading into the unknown as far as the Brabourne Stadium is concerned but the Mumbai Indians turned this venue into a fortress in 2010 where they won 6 out of the 7 games.
Generally, the pitch is very good for batting with a flat, hard-packed outfield. The average T20 score here is 184.5 but those matches have been played way back in 2014 and 2015. The team batting first has won 75% of the games, although there is a possibility of dew in the 2nd innings.
LSG vs CSK Prediction
There isn’t a head-to-head record to go on but the Chennai Super Kings might not be able to match the firepower that the Lucknow Super Giants possess with their opening pair and all-rounders.
