2 new teams have been added to the Indian Premier League in the IPL 2022 season.
In the past, there has been a representation from Gujarat – the Gujarat Lions. They played IPL 2016 and IPL 2017 as replacements to the CSK and RR teams being banned.
The current bid winners for the Ahmedabad franchise of IPL, are CVC Captial Partners. They are a private equity and investment advisory firm, and the astounding amount of their winning bid was INR 5,625 crores. Developed in 1981, CVC is a world leader in secretive equity as well as credit report with $125 billion of properties under administration, $165 billion of funds committed, and a global network of 25 local offices: 16 across Europe and also the Americas and nine in Asia Pacific area.
The final name for the Ahmedabad team is Gujarat Titans. The jersey colours being considered are shades of blue and black. It will be with unique colour combinations.

To start with here are some details about the Team Coach and Training staff and the Captain.
Ravi Shastri, Bharat Arun and R Sridhar are likely to be the coaching personnel of the Ahmedabad franchise in IPL 2022.
The captain of the Gujarat Titans team will be revealed after the IPL 2022 Auction.
As per the reports, Shreyas Iyer or KL Rahul will captain the Gujarat Titans. Both cricketers have not shown interest in continuing with their previous franchise. There are also talks on other well-known cricketers being considered for the captain’s role: Ravindra Jadeja, David Warner, Aaron Finch, Dinesh Karthik and last but not least Ishan Kishan.
So let us wait and watch, whether it’s experience or the youth that leads the Gujarat Titans.
All the aforesaid players will also be on the bidding list of the Gujarat Titans owners, at the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, currently scheduled to happen in January 2022.
